Ancient History with Ms. Lefkowitz

GRAPES Project

In this mini unit, students will do two things at the same time.  During class, they will be looking at the "GRAPES" of a civilization and using evidence will determine which civilization is being described.  Then, for homework, students will be expected to do research on their own GRAPES using the following as a generic guide.  For the worksheets associated with the project, click here.

  • Geography-Students will create a map of their hometown or use a google map to help them explain more about how Geography affects their lives.
  • Religion-Students will create a mini report on the religion of their choosing, whether it be one they believe in, one their family believes in or one they have an interest in.
  • Achievements-Students will describe three skills that they have that can help them in school, or in a future workplace.
  • Politics-Students will choose someone they know and explain how they could be a role model.
  • Economics-Students will be signed up to the OUSD Career website and use it to help them find two jobs they might have an interest in!
  • Social Structure-Students will create a family tree of ten chosen relatives and show how they connect to themselves.
